MY FIRST FILM
MY FIRST FILM
The 4th Meeting
Thursday, 2 November 2006
So I just got back from my latest meeting with Ben Woodiwiss. We decided to try something other than the coffee thing and went for food. Instead of Costa, we went to the London Kitchen - cooked food at reasonable prices (that’s £20 for the plug, thank you very much). Really, our hand was forced, as Costa was packed.
Anyway, back to our meeting. I had read the script over the weekend and it was a vast improvement over the 2nd draft. Ben has gone back to the original draft and made it better. How he has done this is by giving the main character a new trait. A trait that now dictates his actions in the whole film. So giving the character a new dimension. Also, with this new trait, another character’s part has been increased. He was only at the beginning at first, but now he plays a bigger part in the story. Thanks to this new character trait.
Of course the script wasn’t perfect. I had my notes, problems I had with the script. As usual, Ben came up with solutions to these problems, which also add to the script.
Now the night is over, Ben has gone off to write the fourth draft and I can’t wait to read it.
