Last weekend, I had Ben Woodiwiss round my place to finish the script. And we have decided on a title. The film is going to be called “In The Valley Of The Shadow Of Death”. A long title, but sums the film up very well. You can’t beat those biblical quotes! The story is about a group of campers who are trapped in a valley after a nuclear explosion, and their fight for survival.

Over the weekend, Ben and myself went through the entire script rewriting it page-by-page. I found a quiet part of the house and we would read the script out loud to each other, going scene-by-scene, so to hear what the dialogue sounds like. Don’t worry we weren’t acting it out. I can’t act to save my life. If you want someone to stand in the background, I’m your man. Otherwise you should hire Ben. He has been known to appear in a few films. He actually starred in a feature called “The Human Factory”.

Considering all the things that could go wrong, the only thing that went wrong was Ben turning up late on Saturday. He was traveling to my place by train. He got to London Bridge and couldn’t find the right platform. When he did find it, he was put on the wrong train by a member of staff. He was put on an express train, which flew through my station. Once the train did stop, he had to get a train back. In the end Ben was only a hour late, but don’t you hate that when that happens.

We finished working on Sunday afternoon. We went through the whole script. I was expecting to go another weekend to finish it, Ben was so quick. He would come up with new scenes in matters of minutes. I would just make corrections or suggest changes to the scene. Ben couldn’t stay afterwards, as he had to get back home. His train journey home was a lot more successful.

You may be asking yourself, why am I reading this now? Why did I not read this last weekend? Well, we were so quick last week, I was able to tape an interview with Ben and I have been putting it together, so very soon you will be able to watch it on here. So that’s why I was late writing this.
