MY FIRST FILM
MY FIRST FILM
Happy Halloween
Saturday, 31 October 2009
It’s All Hallows Eve and it’s the time for all the ghost and ghoulies to come out and play... unfortunately for me there is no such luck. I have to work. But like every year I am going to watch a scary movie to celebrate. I tend to watch something I haven’t seen before. This year I am going to watch ‘Rosemary’s Baby’, when I get back from work, as I haven’t seen it. I don’t why I haven’t seen it before. It’s just one of those films that I haven’t got round to seeing, well until tonight.
If you are going to watch a scary movie tonight, can I recommend two to you. Something old and something new to celebrate the season. Firstly, I would recommend that you watch ‘John Carpenter’s Hallloween’. Not the Rob Zombie remake, but the original. It has a lot of atmosphere and certainly put you on the end of your seat. Secondly, I would recommend that you watch ‘Trick R’ Treat’. It’s another film set at Halloween. The character of Sam (or Pumpkin Jack as some people call him) will certainly become a Halloween Costume. The film is really good, with a lots of old school scares and laughs. I was surprised how effective this film was when I saw it. Also, this film needs a lot of love after the way Warner Bros. just left it on the shelf for 2 years. Show them that they should concentrate on new films and forget about remaking old ones.
So those were my picks. Enjoy them and tonight. Party hard. Watch out for those witches and zombies and Michael Jacksons (there will be so many of those tonight you will think that he has really come back to life). And think of me as work through one of the best days of the years. Happy Halloween!
