Hello. My name is Simon Aitken. I’m a filmmaker and I am making my first feature film. As this will only happen once in my life, I have decided to document it on this site. See how a feature is really made from the very beginning to the very end, you can follow my progress on this site.

“Blood And Roses” (Blood + Roses) is the title of the film I making. It is a vampire story about Martin and Jane, a couple taking time off, trying to put the past behind them. Jane attracts the attention of another man, Seth, a vampire who sees something in Jane. After one night with Seth, Jane undergoes a painful transformation. A change that gives her more than she ever thought possible. But to finalise this transformation Jane must feed. Can she take a life to secure her own?

The Prologue Shoot is now finished. The shoot went well. Everybody stepped up to the plate and brought their best. It’s now all wrapped and I can get back to the editing of the film. The footage looks great. We are approaching the final stretch.
